Building Restoration

Welcome to an illustration of cases of redevelopment potential photographed around the world. The aim is to show how much potential there is for living and reconnecting with the territory, in order to inspire individuals to take an interest in it and act as groups, cooperatives, communities.

The video showcases the outcome of our participation in the Start Cup Emilia Romagna, a competition for presenting innovative ideas and the opportunity to turn them into potential startups. In this regard, we developed a project from the ground up, and with the help of the organizers (PWC), we received support in drafting a business model for our idea. My focus has been on creating an app as a technological solution to connect various stakeholders involved in abandoned real estate: private individuals, public administrations, investors, innovative startups, and designers. To find alternative and new uses for these buildings that could serve better social, environmental, and economic purposes, the app aims to be a tool to facilitate interaction and networking among people and to promote best practices and potential renovations.

“It will be the small communities that save the metropolis… the aim is to repopulate the historic villages and make them accessible”
