A week ago I had the pleasure of visiting Villa Davoli located in Sabbione (ReggioEmilia), a hidden corner of elegance and tradition, where the art of wine is combined with the timeless beauty of a rationalist-style villa. The winery, run with passion by oenologist Daniele Rota, produces very special wines, characterised by excellent quality and a distinctive character that reflects the territory and the innovation that Daniele puts into every bottle. The tasting was an extraordinary experience: the wines, rich in nuances and depth, were at the centre of a moment that became a true celebration of the senses.
We were welcomed in an atmosphere that seemed to come from another era, surrounded by the beauty of the villa, whose rationalist style exuded a sense of understated elegance. After the tasting, we had the opportunity to visit the old wine cellar, a place steeped in history, where the wines were carefully stored in wooden barrels, almost as if each bottle told a part of the family tradition. It was fascinating to be immersed in an environment that holds so much knowledge and passion for wine, an experience that not only enriched my palate but also left an indelible impression on my heart.
