Il racconto di un viaggio sorprendente e inaspettato

Nel giorno di Natale voglio condividere le mie impressioni del viaggio appena trascorso a New York (USA). Mi ha stupita e ammagliata in poco tempo, mi ha catturata per la sua singolarità: ero sempre a testa all’insù! Devo dire che sono arrivata “impreparata” e non avevo ricercato molto, ma già in aereo è iniziata la narrazione di quanto avrei poi scoperto sul posto.

Oltre al turismo, il caos e i turisti da ogni parte, io ho percepito uno spirito unico, che può piacere o meno, ma per lo meno denota carattere e unicità. Se penso che molti edifici e ponti sono stati costruiti a inizio secolo scorso, posso capacitarmi della straordinarietà delle opere d’architettura e dei grattacieli snelli e infiniti che sembrano proprio toccare il cielo. Non ho mai visto un intero quartiere appezzato di così tanti edifici sopra i 50,60,80,90 piani e più! E’ impressionante osservarli già dalla strada perché non se ne vede la fine!

Con questo piccolo “touch” delle impressioni di un’America nella quale non ero mai stata e alla chiusura del giorno di Natale, voglio augurare buone Feste e felice anno nuovo a tutti e tutte. E colgo anche l’occasione per preannunciare future opere a tema “Skyscrapers” per le mie prossime opere e disegni a venire. Vediamo come si integreranno con il mio stile artistico.❤️

Impressioni in altezza

Nel quartiere di Chelsea tra la 19.a e la 25.a strada si concentrano una serie di rinomate gallerie d’arte, che non sto a citare singolarmente, ma che ho avuto modo di esplorare, per lo meno dall’esterno come turista, non come “esperta”, visto che lunedì scorso era purtroppo giorno di chiusura. Almeno però ne ho colto la “vibe” e l’ispirazione verso qualcosa di grande che vorrei continuare a coltivare aspirando a galleria anche io. Grazie New York per le tante impressioni e inputs, tornerò a trovarti presto!

The story of a surprising and unexpected journey

On Christmas Day, I would like to share my impressions of my recent trip to New York. I was amazed and enchanted by it in no time, captivated by its uniqueness. I was constantly looking up! I must admit that I arrived ‘unprepared’ and hadn’t done much research, but even on the plane, I started hearing stories about what I would discover there.

As well as the chaos and tourists from all over, I sensed a unique spirit that you may or may not like, but which at least denotes character and uniqueness. When you consider that many of the buildings and bridges were constructed at the beginning of the last century, you can truly appreciate the extraordinary nature of the architecture, with its slender, seemingly endless skyscrapers that seem to touch the sky. I have never seen a neighbourhood with so many buildings of over 50, 60, 80 or 90 floors! They are impressive to look at from the street because they seem to go on forever!

With these impressions of America, a place I had never visited before, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I would also like to take this opportunity to announce that I will be working on a series of pieces on the theme of ‘Skyscrapers’ in the near future. Let’s see how they integrate with my artistic style! ❤️

…and from the street in the Chelsea neighbourhood

In the Chelsea neighbourhood between 19th and 25th Streets, there is a concentration of renowned art galleries, which I will not mention individually, but which I had the opportunity to explore, at least from the outside as a tourist, not as an “expert”, since last Monday was unfortunately a closing day. At least, however, I got a feel for the vibe and inspiration towards something great that I would like to continue to cultivate, aspiring to open a gallery myself. Thank you, New York, for the many impressions and inputs. I will be back to visit you soon!
