Reconnecting to the mistery

There´s a precious and wonderfull village beside the seaside of Ventimiglia. It’s nesteled in the mountains and grown on and inside the rocks…its name is Ecovillaggio Torri Superiore.

From 21st to 30th of November 2024, the Nature of Community training course was held in the ecovillage Torri Superiore. The course was co-financed by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme and was attended by 27 youth workers from 17 countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine.

During eight days, the participants learnt innovative methods to address the developmental needs for belonging, meaningful connection, authenticity and purpose, and take steps towards personal transformation in a more wholesome and connected way. The course also put a special focus on the importance of building strong relationships and collaborative communities to support personal growth and fulfil our ambition for a more just and sustainable world.

The activities have been a mix of sharing circles, presentations and embodiment exercises, exploring the models of eco-soulcentric development and the nature-based map of human psyche. There has also been time for the participants to share their skills as facilitators in workshops about mindfulness, creative writing, movement and much more. Everybody’s senses have been intensely stimulated by deep time in nature and we even had a blindfolded dinner!

After the end of the course, the participants will meet again in a virtual sharing circle at the beginning of January to update each other on their progress with the methods that they have learned.
